"Vi är självklart besvikna över förlusten mot Boston med 4-2, särskilt med tanke på att vi visade upp en stark prestation men inte lyckades få med oss poängen. Det var en tuff match, och Boston är ett väldigt skickligt lag, men vi känner att vi hade våra chanser och att vi kunde ha gjort mer för att stänga matchen. Men som vi alltid säger, vi lär oss av varje situation. Det är nu vi verkligen måste hålla huvudet högt och fortsätta jobba mot våra mål. Vi har ett dedikerat lag och vi vet vad vi kan åstadkomma när vi spelar vårt bästa hockey. Vi ser fram emot att få en ny chans mot dem i slutspelet och vi är fast beslutna att komma tillbaka ännu starkare. Vancouver Canucks siktar högt den här säsongen, med målet att vinna Stanley Cup och återupprätta lagets status som en topprival i NHL. Efter flera år av ombyggnation har Canucks nu satt samman en trupp som är både talangfull och erfaren, och med den rätta blandningen av unga talanger och etablerade stjärnor har laget nu chansen att ta sig hela vägen till toppen.

En av de mest iögonfallande tillskotten till truppen är lagkaptenen Steven Stamkos, som har valt att förena sig med Canucks efter en lång karriär med Tampa Bay Lightning. Stamkos, känd för sin imponerande skottkraft och ledarskap på isen, ger Canucks både en pålitlig målskytt och en erfaren kapten som kan styra laget genom tuffa playoffserier.

Ytterligare ett viktigt nyförvärv är den fysiska och målfarliga forwarden Lawson Crouse, som anslöt till Canucks mitt under säsongen. Crouse, som tidigare spelat för Los Angeles Kings, bidrar med sin storlek och kraft i närkamper samt en förmåga att göra skillnad framför mål.
